Why do men have nipples?

i know the answer but i want to see how many of yall do!
Answer:
All babies develop start off as female (in the embryonic stage). Males only develop 'male' features later in development because of the "Y" chromosome. What would become the labia instead fuses together to become the scrotum and what starts off as the clitoris elongates and develps into a penis instead. The nipples don't change at all and they only begin to change in females during puberty when estrogen causes them to develop further into full breasts. Estrogen and Progesterone causes the breasts to lactate during/after pregnancy. Since testosterone is the dominant hormone in males the breasts never really grow larger and they become more muscular (pecks) instead.
because that's nature, monkey's have nipples also..
Why not?
Men and women are almost identical at birth (except for obvious genital differences). It's only once the hormones start to be produced that the changes are noticed.

Men that take estrogen and other female hormones develop breasts.
To nibble, duh!
The answer is that as embryos men and women have similar tissues and body parts
Just because they do. There is no need to question nature.
well the milk got to come from somewhere!
hi, as all mammals have got mammary glands, these glands help in producing milk for their babies.in females these hormones activated at the early adolesance but in males they remained idle or deactivated.all mammals have these glands wether male or female.in males they r of no use.
I think they served as devices that helped men find their way home as they got stiff and pointed in the right direction to go.
